Ethereum allows people to make their own apps. Ethereum apps are made using “smart contracts”. Smart contracts are basically an agreement. Ethereum uses its own cryptocurrency called Ether. Ether is a cryptocurrency like bitcoin, but it is also used to pay for smart contracts. Ethereum is like an app store that lets people create any app they want.
