The Mirror protocol is a system for getting price information about an asset onto the blockchain. Once the information is on the chain, it can be fractionalized and traded like any other crypto token. Unlike other cryptocurrencies that try to represent the actual asset, MIR is only sending price information. It seeks to mirror the world of offline assets but not actually be related to that asset in any way. Mirror is a just way to send any price signal into the blockchain. By not indicating ownership, Mirror has a place in the cryptocurrency world tokenizing such assets as gold and silver that represent real world value but are not on the blockchain.
