Digital information often refers to real-world objects. If you run a guitar shop, you have a list of guitars on your computer and you also have a lot of real-world guitars. TRAC takes this real world information and records it on the blockchain. Yes, they use TRAC to track things (who’d have thought?) but TRAC goes beyond real-world objects. Using something called a knowledge graph (the same things that companies like Google and Facebook use to organize information) OriginTrail is building a system for making sure that any information can integrate smoothly with all the information already available online. TRAC uses the blockchain to make sure all the world's information is related and searchable. Whether a list of things in a warehouse, or a list of names on the internet, TRAC wants to know what it means and where it came from.
