Radicle is a peer-to-peer open source code collaboration tool built on the Eth blockchain. By integrating cryptocurrency and decentralization into existing communities of shared creativity, Radicle is hoping to create larger collaborative networks. Like Github, Radicle allows users to share and collaborate on each other's code. People offer payments for certain coding tasks and the NFTs can be created and traded as well. The code database is stored on users computers so the entire system has multiple redundant backups but still emphasizes open protocols. Since Web3 emerged from open source cultures of sharing and collaboration, it only makes sense that Radicle tries to bring open source code writing into the world of decentralized software development.
