Asking for money, as the name suggests, is the primary function of Request. Through the blockchain, REQ works to automate payments and use DeFi liquidity pools as a source for funds. Their entire ecosystem simplifies traditional transactions down to a fundamental request, or just asking. For added functionality, REQ has levels of requests. If the person who owes you money does not respond, you can upgrade the request to an invoice. That invoice, in turn, can be sent to someone else, like an accountant or a Defi liquidity pool that then makes the payment. Business accounts involve endless invoicing, so if REQ succeeds in better automating that process it would streamline payments for both institutions and individuals. REQ is often used as a sort of payroll company by Web3 native companies who send and – get this – request payments on the Blockchain.
